You Are Here : Cleverclicks Dog and Family Fun Day in aid of Canine Partners
The event will feature competition games for dogs, dog agility and family games. There will also be a dog photographer, personalised mugs, dog accessories, glass engraving, craft stalls, plants, books, Norfolk honey, an all day BBQ and refreshments available at a reasonable price.
Regional Community Fundraiser Lindsay Hurrell comments, “This will be a really great family day out, whether you have a dog or not. All profits will go towards Canine Partners, to help us continue to train more assistance dogs in the region to change the lives of people with disabilities.”
Helen Dolphin is an amputee from Norfolk who graduated with canine partner Yancey in 2006. She says: “The practical help that Yancey provides is as valuable as the love she gives me. I’ve learnt to walk again, thanks to Yancey. I couldn’t use crutches, but I can use Yancey as a stabiliser, which helps me when I walk. I used to hate being in public because of adverse comments and stares I used to get, but with Yancey all I get is really nice positive feedback. It may sound like a small thing, but giving me back my confidence has really changed my life.”
Entry to the dog and family fun day is free of charge. For further information about the day or to book a stall, please contact Elaine David on 07971 836134 or e-mail elainedavid@hotmail.co.uk.
