Local Pair Countdown to Unique Monopoly Run for Canine Partners

On Saturday 25th June, Dom from Warnham and Tim from Horsham will set off on their unique run, accompanied by up to eight other runners.  They will be dressed in white running vests depicting the famous Monopoly Man and sporting top hats.  The runners will start at Old Kent Road and finish at Mayfair following the Monopoly board in order, non-stop, a challenge they believe has not been tackled before.
Dom will be raising funds for Canine Partners, a charity to which his grandparents, who used to be volunteer puppy parents, introduced him.  “I am really looking forward to taking on the Monopoly Run, I think it will be great fun but pretty hard work!  Canine Partners is a wonderful charity that changes the lives of people with disabilities and I hope we do them proud.”

Steve Miles from West Sussex has had canine partner Mozart since 2003 and has this to say, “Being in a wheelchair and disabled eats away at your self-confidence, but Mozart helps to replace that and has let me lead a more normal life than I might have had otherwise.  I have no doubt he has kept me more mobile, given me a purpose and structure to my day as well as helping me around the house with things I find more difficult.”
