We have a very mixed bag of gorgeous puppies in training. We have golden retrievers; Labradors in all shapes, sizes and colours including chocolate; a mix of both goldie and Lab (tried and tested assistance dog breed). Cross breeds invariably bring out the best from both parents and we have some adorable poodle crosses that hopefully may help with allergies but we know from experience that once these dogs mature there is no guarantee that they will not shed some fur.
We are constantly looking for puppies to become assistance dogs of the future and if you know anyone that can donate a retriever-type puppy (offer at stud fee only), a brood bitch or sire to help the Charity produce and train more dogs for people with disabilities, please contact us. We will inform you of the dog’s progress and invite you to their eventual “Partnership Ceremony” - a special, informal event celebrating the successful pairing of one of our trained dogs with a partner who has a disability. It is the culmination of a huge collaboration of effort, involving the breeder of the puppy; the puppy parents who nurture, care and start to train the puppy; to the advanced trainers and foster carers who produce a happy, highly motivated and trained dog.
It is a joyous and emotional day when everyone involved in that process comes together to share in the success of that partnership. Would you too like to be a puppy parent?
